New openings and local favourites for the cosy season

By Mountgrange Heritage October 2026

Across Notting Hill, Kensington and North Kensington, there are several tables worth knowing about this autumn. A new Japanese restaurant on Kensington Mall, Lebanese cooking in a former bank and the return of Sunday roasts.

Nakimushi on Kensington Mall

Now open close to Notting Hill Gate, Nakimushi is the latest restaurant from Chris D’Sylva and the team behind Dorian, Eel Sushi and Supermarket of Dreams. The Japanese restaurant brings together two residencies, Robin’s Ramen and Urchin, in a townhouse on Kensington Mall. Ramen is the focus downstairs, with a wider Japanese menu and bar upstairs.

KINZ in Notting Hill

KINZ serves Lebanese food in a former 1930’s Lloyds Bank on Notting Hill Gate. The old banking hall and retained vault door give the dining room a distinctive setting, with mezzanine seating above.

In her August review for The Guardian, Grace Dent praised the cooking and warm service. It is one to keep in mind for lunch or dinner with a group of friends. Read Grace Dent’s review
