It’s difficult to walk past Paere Dansk on Stratford Road office without peering through the windows for a glimpse of the beautiful Danish furniture. Danish-born Oliver Olsen opened the shop specialising in vintage Danish rosewood furniture in 2004.

Ann Hughes has been running the London branch of Pierre Mesguich Mosaik since 1994, after a chance meeting with mosaic specialist Pierre in Paris. They specialise in handcrafted mosaics for kitchens, bathrooms and pools.

Sally Storey

Sally Storey is one of Britain’s top lighting designers and has recently published a book revealing some of her secrets. Having studied architecture at Bristol University, she has been head of John Cullen Lighting since 1986 and is now a lighting designer to the stars.

Violet and George

Frustrated by the lack of originality in soft furnishing design, interior designer Nicky Mudie launched her own company, Violet & George, They specialise in the all important finishing touches to interior design projects such as lampshades, rugs and curtains.
